Creepy, creepy, creepy. That is my opinion of Hillary Clinton.

It isn't just Hillary, as the article said some of the documents were signed by Condoleeza Rice. Just "business as usual".
ReplyDeleteWhat do you think of the Wiki-leaks scandal in general? Sarah Palin seems to think that Assange should be "tried for treason", although he isn't a US citizen! Was he right to publish them?
I don't think I'm knowledgeable enough to judge if the Wiki-leaks were right or wrong. I do think it is a good thing that people like me are made aware of how sleazy "business as usual" is.
ReplyDeleteLeaks to the media have been of major importance in Australian politics this year. I guess it could be argued that the present weird situation in federal politics is the result of a deposed ex-PM who is/was as leaky as an unstanched wench (to quote Mr W. Shakespeare). It is a journalist's job to judge what information is or is not in the public's interest to be published. It is up to individuals in various roles in society to judge what information is proper for them to seek and to divulge. Unlike a doctor or a journalist, these Wikileaks people don't seem to fit into an established role in society, besides whistleblower I guess. People often have to give up having a healthy relationship with the truth in order to have a place in society. I think society has always needed outsiders who are willing to expose the hypocrisy and misdeeds of others. It is no coincidence that Australia's second-most famous whistleblower (after Assange) is autistic. I also think it is no coincidence that the man who wrote the story of the emperor with no clothes was also autistic.
So, basically, I dunno.
