Teenage Lobotomy by the Ramones
To celebrate the beginning of a new era of interventionist psychiatry for Australia's troubled youth, I thought some rock and roll from the punk genre would be in order. Who wrote these lyrics?
Like most punks...I was an avid self- medicater ....in "pych-speak" I was using a short term solution for a long term problem . To bad they didn't understand the the long term problem was trying to function in an insane world and not "my" insane brain .
All in all, glad skipped the long term solution....death, in favor of just avoiding humans whenever possible .
Just saw a wonderful quote from GB Shaw... "The power of accurate observation is commonly called cynicism by those who have not got it.
One of the most amazing and quite terrible things that I've discovered in a long time was a thing that I discovered while researching that Reading the Mind in the Eyes Test. There are studies that have found that depressives and people with borderline PD are better than average at reading facial expressions in that test, which is I think very much compatible with what George said.
